Emmanuel Jacquin de Margerie (December 25, 1924 - December 2, 1991 Paris) was the Ambassador of the Republic of France to the United States.
He studied at the Aurora University (Shanghai) and the Sorbonne. He graduated from the Sciences Po, and ENA.
He was head the Department of European Affairs. He was Ambassador to Spain from 1977 to 1981. He was Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 1981 to 1984. He was Ambassador to the United States, from 1984 to 1989.
He was a director in musées de France, and helped in the creation of the Musée d'Orsay.[1]
